i have a problem, the power led hooked up to my mobo isn't big enough for what i want to do, so i wired in a 5mm green one and it doesnt get bright at all

is there someway that i can make this led brighter or are there leds that are bright without extra power

LEDs have different brightness ratings. Check out some of the LED sites in the FAQ to find the color and brightness you want. They often have pictures to show the relative brightness.

LEDs are rated for a certain brightness at a certain voltage. If you undervolt them, they're dimmer, but can last longer, and so therefore if you overvolt them, they're brighter but die quicker. So, buy brighter LEDs
