Whenever I start up my computer in the morning, I have to either press the power button several times or simply hold it in to get the computer to start up. Simply hitting it once will not do anything. This has been going on for a couple months but recently I've had to flip the switch on the back and then hold in the button to get it to start.
My current powersupply is a Corsair 450 Watt (CMPSU-450VX).
Originally my build had a 550 Watt OCZ PS, but after about 2 years it simply failed to start up one day. This makes me suspicious that it could simply be the power in my apt killing my PSs (Power goes down hard about once a week).
Specs are in my sig, but I've also got 3 HDs and 4 case fans running on the PS.
So my question is: Is the PS going bad? Am I overloading it and if so what should i replace it with? Could my apt power be killing my PSs and if so would a UPS fix that? Is it another problem altogether?
Many thanks for any help/suggestions you can offer!
