Need PC Help
Anyone know what would be causing my PC to shutoff at random times.
Sometimes my PC will stay on for hours ~24. Sometimes it shuts off within an hour. At first i thought it was due to my chipset overheating. Reason being the fan covering that chip died. So i replaced that fan, but the shutting off still happens.
Is it the powersupply? Im kinda confused on this, because when the shutoff occurs, the lights on my motherboard and other LED's will still stay on. If i hit the power switch, nothing happens. I have to switch off the power supply switch, let it cool down, and then turn it on again. Seems like something needs to cool off?? I dont know. Can a powersupply fail in that power still comes out to power the lights, but not enough power on the computer?
Thanks for any help.
