Power filtering

Just wondering [H]'s thoughts as to whether or not you should put a power-filter between the wall and your battery back-up, the battery back-up and the computer, or even for go the power filter all together?
 
If it's anything more than a standby UPS, it already has a good deal of filtering.
 
The output of that UPS goes through an AVR whether it's on battery or not. You have plenty of filtering there.
