I'm eventually gonna get the x800xl (perfect for a CS 1.6/Source clan) but it's gonna go into a shuttle xpc, which probably has like 240 watt PSU. But according to this benchmarks http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2299&p=2, they can consume 200watts at full load...so that leaves around 40 watt for the mobo, ram, etc.....

So i'm wondering if this is legit or not if the x800xl can run EXTREMELY WELL in a shuttle despite the power consumption.

Shuttle pcs have beefier PSU that your average PSU of similar rating.
It has 16 amps on the 12V, don't worry about it.

199W is for the whole test system (FX-55, drives, video card, etc), as measured by the power drain from the outlet and also includes the PSU efficiency % (i.e. the PSU is providing less than 199W of power to the motherboard and devices since part of the power is lost in the conversion from AC to DC).

The x800XL itself uses less than 75W, which is the maximum a PCI-E slot provides and the x800XL (PCI-E) doesn't use an external power connector. 240W should be fine.
