Power connector woes

So while trying to install a new graphics card into a tiny sff the power connector on the card bent and some of the pins dislodged from the black plastic connector. I bent the pins back into shape and put them into the black connector but Im worried that the card is dead and testing it might just break a pcie slot. Can anyone with a good deal of experience tell me if the mistake is correctable. I will upload photos if needed.
