I am using an old Sony Viao case to build a new system. The only problem is that the power button is not standard so the PWR, RESET, PWRLED, HDLED ect... won't connect to my new board.

The bottom line is that I need to find a set of power and reset buttons and the leads for the LEDs that connect to the board.

All this stuff comes with a new case, but can you get them separately too??

Would Radio Shack have them??

Thx

I'm not so sure that it will work. It may not be a matter of just replacing the connectors but also the switch mechanism as well. Not sure if they sell the seperately and I doubt that radio shack would have it. Good luck, I hope I wasn't entirely depressing to you.

i'm sure you could just hack the ends off and solder some new ones on. LED's and switches would be way too expensive to make new ones... plugs are easy to switch though. Maybe you could get them from an old case... I don't think ratshack has the connectors in store, but it might have them online...

You could be super l33t and buy a switch from a hardware store, then solder the wires onto the mobo and switch, then mount the switch somewhere on the case. Or be even way cooler and mount the switch on your keyboard.....hey wait...that gives me an idea. Wonder what the max length on that is.............
