I've been wanting to turn my Antec SX1040BII completely black inside and out...drive cages and all (just like http://img57.exs.cx/img57/8759/Picture016Medium.jpg). Is there really any way to do so besides powder coating? I haven't got the means to powder coat it myself (no access to old oven), so it'd have to be done by one of the businesses here in town and I reckon that'd take a pretty penny. I do have an industrial spray gun, generator, buffer, sander etc...but I'm thinking it'd be impossible to get all the nook and crannies of the case using the typical painting method. What's the best plan of action?

I'd just paint it. If you really want to get absolutely everywhere then I guess you could drill out all the rivets and just replace them later when all the panels are painted and ready. just make sure that you sand down all the pieces first and put on a few coats. that's what I did and I'm fairly happy with the finish
