Saw the new guy at work picking out some powder coat colours on the net. Turns out his father-in-law runs a business that makes metal signs, and so has powder coating equipment. Naturally, I asked him why he wastes all that great equipment on automotive parts? Of course you know what I was thinking. 
Not wanting to experiment on a brand new case, I had an old Acer 7600GT case laying around. Years ago, I remember seeing the home of an artist who had used a grinder to remove all the paint from his washer/dryer, and then clear coated it to let the grinder marks show though. I did almost the same thing, except I specified a translucent black (usually used over chrome to create a black chrome finish) and I think I like the result. And the powder-coated finish is super durable! What do you think?

Not sure where the orange effect came from, but it looks great in there! The pictures don't really do it justice. I did a little spray painting on the pastic top and front of the case, but the sides still make the rest of the case look like crap!
