I'm wondering about the potential problems of mounting a CD ROM drive facing strait up. I'm thinking about building a computer into my desk, and I figure i can re-veneer the whole top and stealth some drives into it. i think it'd be awesome to have drives pop out the top of a desk.
However, i know that you can mount a standard CD-ROM drive sideways without problems, so long as you're careful about inserting CD's. but what about strait up and down?
