Hi, all
I just upgraded to a x2 3800+ a couple of months ago. Did some really minor overclocking (10%) at stock voltage and cooling. At the time, idle temps were around 37 c and full load would take it to 51c. I recently upgraded the hd from an ide to a sata2, and the weather is also getting warmer. So now, cpu idles at 40c and reaches 55c at full load. The mobo idles at about 40c and reaches 44 on full load. For now this shouldnt be a problem, but I am concerned with what will happen during the summer (as I live in GA) and my apartment is around 5 deegres celsius warmer, to say the least. So what I am asking is:
1- In your experience, should this be a problem? I.e., will an increase of 5 c in the apartment translate into another 3-5c on the cpu?
2- If this is a problem, how do you suggest I address it? New HSF? New fan for case? new case?
