First, what is a recommended location to publish photos to post here? I used photobucket the other day, but is there a better service for free?

Also, when i click the button to place an image and paste in the url, it only displays a link to the image. how do i insert the actual image/thumbnail into the post like everybody else does?

Photobucket and ImageShack are the ones everyone uses, but there are others as well.

To post an image, you need image tags around the url:

 
i think i just figured it out, i was using the wrong url listed on photobucket, thanks though
