Figured I'd start the thread for this year with the best case I've owned so far in the 25+ years of building. The Asus PA602 ProArt. Case is just very well built and moves a ton of air due to the large and thick front fans. Keeping this one for a long time.

Very nice, clean, complex and powerful configuration, probably the best airflow, the graphics card looks really big, I believe it was quite difficult to lift the entire case with the components, the case is certainly interesting with nice details and features.

I have a Corsair 7000X case also that makes this case seem very light. I did a lot of homework this time around and really like everything the PA 602 offered for looks and functionality. I'm kind of done with the RGB light show anymore so this case fit the bill.

You probably got that last wood one that I wanted 🤘

Nice. The wood version sells out quick it seems. This case seemed to fall through the cracks because of the ProArt labeling and never gained popularity, but it should have.
This case is awesome. It is pretty close to my Torrent Compact in performance, but has enough room in it that I can curl up in it and sleep. Cable management was insanely easy compared to my last case lol..

I agree. I had the full size Torrent and the lack of space for cable management was an issue for me. This case was so easy to cable manage.

I like this way of connecting the gpu, does it work well? Does it hold the gpu firmly?
Then the smart filter, it lights up when it needs to be cleaned. They also put wheels for transportation.

My GPU is light, no brace needed.. but its there and yes it is solid.

It has 2 wheels on the back, they are ok if you have to move it around a little. But I am going to loot the wheels off of my Stacker this weekend and put them on this case.. gonna be awesome, I think they lock too lol..

Looks like a reverse ionize modulator card, it keeps non static ions from accumulating on semi metallic isotopes. It really helps modulation between sub atomic frequencies. The prices of these cards has really come down over the years.

Yup, Asus Hyper M.2 card with 2x SN770 in it. To use all 4 slots you need threadrippa for that. It came with my Strix B550-XE. I actually have 2 of those boards, and 2 Hyper M.2 drives.

Really strange, I haven't seen that before.
Are your sn770s 1tb or 2tb, obviously you need a lot of storage.
So gpu don't suffer too much.

Just 1TB. I bought 3 for 65 beaver bucks each last year, good deal. I have a few systems so everything gets used sooner or later.

Hey man! Have you had any trouble with your G. Skill Flare memory? I’ve had 2 sticks fail (C5 error) — 1st about 3 weeks ago, 2nd late last night. Never had any problems with G.Skill memory before. This is my first build with their Flare X5. Thinking about switching to Corsair Vengeance. I have a Noctua D15 G2 so low profile memory is my only choice.

Not had any problems with the mem at all. I use a 120mm fan in the front of my N15 so it sits flush.

I have to finish building my man closet before I post anything

new case, the quietest I've ever had, it only has 3 120mm fans but they cool very well at low speeds

Similar to the last few years in hardware but had to rebuild it as the main computer decided it didn't like esxi anymore.
This is my computer desk:

20250216_160756.jpg

Main rig specs:
3900x @4ghz
32gb ram
2022 server os (I always used this computer as a hypervisor previously)
980ti (I feel silly posting this in a 2025 workstation thread, I need a new gpu)
1tb nvme
1 decade old corsair h100 aio
20250216_153434.jpg

Rear computer:
dual e5 2680v3
32gb ram
multiple firepro w2100s
1tb nvme and 1tb spinner
esxi and lots of different os

The power supplies fopr the computers and the electronic test bench are PWS-563-1H20 which are incredible power supplies Ive been using for over a decade.

The desk Was a fun project to build and has functioned ideally for a few years now. Im tempted to rebuild the full waterloop.

Rebuild! RIP Corsair 750D (2015-2025), EVGA G2 (2016-2025) and Noctua NH-D15 (2017-2025).

Corsair's iCUE Link system is amazing. Went from a spaghetti mess to like, 7 cables total for 9 fans and an AIO.

Very last thing to do is replace the rear exhaust with another LX120; I mistakenly ordered an LX140 because I could've swore it supported a 140 mm fan in the rear but I was wrong. Woops.

Super happy with how it came out, only thing that I will probably change is the pump cap. Would like something with some black on it to match everything else. Otherwise, 😍.

And here's my current setup:

Most recent additions: new 27" 1440p monitor (to give my RTX 3080 some more life); A PS5 Pro (which I'm enjoying and using a lot more than my OG PS5); and switched from a 360mm AIO CPU Cooler to a aircooler (Thermalright PA 120 SE).

The most used device has been that ROG Ally, it's whisper quiet and is my go to device for web browsing/basic computer tasks, retro emulation, and playing games in bed/at work. I seriously could see a day when all my gaming/computer needs are met using a handheld and an external GPU dock.

Also, the dog's name is Cash.

Big fan of the Fractal North mesh versions. I have the XL. Side fan keeps my space heater GPU's fans off at idle. I had 2 side fans, but had to get my Dremel out to make room for that pesky 12V-2x6 cable. Temps are still ok, so I guess I'll just go with it.

I'm looking at the first picture and it's like a candlestick is coming out of the power button and the candles lol:censored:

Computers are listed in my signature. This year’s upgrades include:
  • A new adjustable-height desk with a custom-cut shelving unit beside it for organizing all my gear. Previously, I had a single large height-adjustable desk with the PC on top and lots of gear scattered on the floor.
  • Installed a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB V2 in my main rig, replacing a 5-year-old Cooler Master 280mm AIO with an infinity mirror.
  • Upgraded the main PC’s case to a Fractal Meshify 2 RGB. The old Fractal Define R5 (with a tempered glass panel mod) is now used for the server.
  • Finally got rid of the old NZXT Phantom case that had been sitting on the floor. 😆
