This is a cool little thing i saw at NVnews - im wodnering what everyone else gets. It is a demo created by Folk of the Unreal Tounrament 2004 Atari Boards .
It measures system performance through a demo of onsalught. To play the demo, download it (i have rehosted it so he is not slammed for access. I can handle as much d/l as needed) and go to your UT2004/demos directory (note: You may have to create it. If you do, name it "demos").
***This is the file***
Put the file in there, and then start UT2004. Select any and all settings you wish (though maxxed would be best bet), and then press the tild key (~) to bring down the console. Then type in:
demoplay utbench?timedemo
^^^ Exactly like that
It will load and play a demo. When its done, press the tild key again (~) and it will show your average fps. Im curious what you guys get.
On my system with max settings (Note: MAX SETTINGS. EVERYTHING its highest, be it shadows, physics, anything) and with Hardware + EAX sound enabled i recieve the following:
No AA / No AF
640*480 - 35.245 fps
1024*768 - 34.141 fps
1280*1024 - 31.065 fps
1600*1200 - 21.234
4x AA / 16x Quality AF
1280*1024 - 15.996 fps
1600*1200 - 8.909 fps
