I own a retail 9500, and with sub-par ram I have a stable overclock of 2750 with a 250fsb. I wonder if thats considered good? I am really thinking of getting a BE edition when the new speed grades come in.

I think you should be very happy with 2750 mate, most of the threads I have read people are struggling to get 2600.

Seems to be a pretty good overclock, from what ive read in various threads. havent overclocked mine, waiting till i get a am2+ motherboard.

Excuse me for 'borrowing' this thread, but a while ago I posted a multithreaded routine of mine here, asking for people with multicore/multi-CPU setups to test it:

I was rather disappointed at the scaling of the Kentsfield, and I wonder if that's the FSB acting up, or if the entire algo just croaks with more than 2 threads. I would like to see some Phenom numbers.

So if you could test it with settings of 1, 2, 3 and 4 threads (in the setup dialog at the start), and report the framerates you get after running it for a few seconds (see title bar), I'd be most grateful. You could use it as a benchmark to see how much difference your overclock makes? Perhaps even finetune memory and CPU speeds to get the highest possible framerates?

From what we've all heard, to get the HTT to 250 is an achievement with Phenom. I'd say you should be very, very happy with that.
