IBM regatta server, 32 1.4ghz processors, 256 Gig of memory, 9 TB shark array, Running Raid 5,1. GTX9000 video card.

Yea that should suite me just fine. Course I could barely afford to power the damn thing month to month.

Meh - just an updated version of what I currently have:

Bigger and/or faster drives
Faster CPU
Faster GPU
More RAM

I'm really pleased with this machine and it WAS my dream system 2 years ago, so I think I'd simply copy the formula with current components.

My current system is fine, all I need is 9800 Pro or XT. Had 9800 Pro but sold it due to budget problems.

amd fx-51
2 gig o ram to match that speed,
9800xt (or AiW)
largest, fastest harddrive at the moment.
fastest dvd-rw
all in a nice and neat shuttle set up.

5,000:
Dual Athlon fx-51
4 gigs PC4400
9800 XT
4 250 gig WD HD's Raid 5

All 5,00 Clustered.

60" HDTV Plasma.
