Nice , were they worth it?

I wanted to get 2 X1900XTX Crossfire but I am going to wait for Direct X 10 cards to come out.

My X850XT PE should hold up to then.

ur a lucky guy lol, im gona wait til dx10 then ill choose which path to go: sli or crossfire, i wish there could run sli n crossfire on one mobo

yeah they were worth it cost me $440.00 US for the 2 cards and the motherboard and the performance is quite good and i think it will only get better

Something looks off about that picture. Is it just me, or do you not have a Master card in your computer? Please don't take this the wrong way, but I'm genuinely curious about this- Sapphire doesn't mention a CF Master version of the X1600 series, and Visiontek's version definitely says you need one in this family of cards.
Can be configured to run in Crossfire mode with a supported X1600 series Crossfire Edition master card...
Also, I don't see the external loop cable hooked up in your case. Again, please don't be insulted- am I missing something?

Edit:
Answered my own question. Don't I feel stupid...

The X1300 and the X1600 doesnt need a master card or the external dongle. The PCI-Express bus has enough bandwidth for the 2 cards, so a dongle is not necessary.

Just goes to show you that ATI is holding back. If im not correct isnt the general consensus that most cards arent anywhere close to utilizing the potential of PCI-e? I myself will wait for AMD's new socket stuff and the video cards for Fall/Winter to consider that.

Two 7800's definitely benefit from SLI x16 versus standard SLI, although I'm too tired to search for benchmarks right now.

I'm surprised by the fact that Visiontek still says you need a Master card, it's misleading.

I'm still pondering wether or not to get a second X1900. I have the mastercard, just need the other to go along with it, but 500 bucks is alot o change.

once ati releases Cat 6.2's i think your card will show its power and i would def get the second card if you have the means, i would have bought those but the wife just bought $2000 in front load washer/dryer setup

Yeah I'm thinking about it. I wish that ZZF would show the ACTUAL card and box instead of a mock-up on the website.

Good service, shitty web site :(

Oh, and I hear you on the washer/dryer thing. THEY ARE EXPENSIVE! :D

Come on dont be shy. Does anyone else know where I can find heaps of ppl's rigs with Crossfire?

the gamer I have the sapphire board, but I don't have a crossfire setup :( I was going to do crossfire with two x1800xts but my wallet wouldn't let me. But on the plus side my x1800xl is coming from ups tomorrow. :D
