Actually, it's made the time I can charge more valuable. The trade-off is that it takes lots of time to get to such a point, and doing so is not for everyone. It is really the final step to LotD (Linux on the Desktop), though some minor things being tweaked and a "killer app" will clinch it for them.

And ask anyone here: I say that as a Windows guy who prefers Windows for almost everything.
