Enough girls for me, I've settled with the one that wants me rather the one that's just hot or cool. So many heartbreaks. Boo hoo. hahaha. yeah, I'm glad with everything Ive got right now. To me, I've got it all: my girl, my computer, and pepsi. new thread topic: "what are the three basic things you need to survive?" :D

You know what, that would be badass. I was at the bank today and their mouses had blue LEDs on top, I was like "woah, their boss must be cool!" I think it would be cool to change out the LED, but isnt the LED in the mouses unchangeable? Isn't the light like the optical transmitter, or something?

Yeah, were the bank mouses just like yours or a little different.... Go set up a new bank account with the manager and then ask to trade mouses and see what she says ;)

different. they were black with blue leds. Im trying to keep with the silver and blue-ish theme, though. silver case, blue tubes, blue fans (although, the side fan is a chameleon fan and blends into ramdom colors) silver mouse, silver speakers, silver volume control with blue power led . silver monitor, silver keyboard backlit blue. im trying to match, so yeah, the red light on the mouse kinda makes it funky.
 
You can use any color L.E.D., since it's just a source of light to make the mouse more precise when it's "Taking pictures" I helped my friend do it to his mouse so it'd match his keyboard (which ironically is the same one as yours) and yes, he's pissed about just buying it when the new ones are coming out as well.

Oooohh, now I get it. I'm not one to modify things like that, though. But I could pay somone for it...hint hint.

Nice printer mod...that's really cool, man. heh, heh, I didn't realize my girfriends booty was in the picture. Yah well one is supposed to settle with the one that wants you.. I mean, wouldn't you prefer a girl that loves you for who you are instead of a girl that loves you because of your mouse with a blue LED? (bad example, yes I know... :p)

Yah well depends on how bright it is, I once tried with a not so bright blue LED and it worked OK on a blue mousepad, but not on any other color.. I think it would've worked better with a superbright LED instead since this blue one almost did not light up the mousepad in daylight..
I think the optical sensor only needs light to read of the surface inperfections or whatnot.. :) That would be logical atleast..

definitely, because she wants me! that' why I've settled with her. We've been together for 3 years, I want her, she wants me, we know each others' interests, and we're happy! Oh, yes, the line was up there, no more talk of this! ;) as for the LED thing, it should be ok if I get a super bright blue LED, correct? :confused:

Sounds good man, alright time to get back on topic and move on to more pictures.
 
i did the blue led mod in my bluetooth, and it wouldnt work correctly... it hardly tracked at all... had to put the red one back in. :(
 
that just means the led wasn't bright enough. blue led's are 'dimmer' to a detector, despite the brightness you see.

All of them.

The setup has changed a lil' since then.

The shuttle and one of the beige boxes are back home, and I have another monitor that I'm using on the silver computer.

They all run folding@home, one is used as a game server sometimes, one is a file server, and one is my main box.
 
jeez.....you guys have tons more space than me.....my bed's like 2 feet behind the desk chair. oh well. here's my pic.

srry, for crappy quality images, did not want to turn flash on because room mates were still sleeping, so i had to compensate with slower shutter speed, which lead to blurry pics.

anyways, my setup is nothing spectacular, but it get the job done. I figured i would post my "dorm theater" as well, basically a 40" samsung, with a shuttle xpc hooked up to it, with z-560s set up as surround sound. awesome for watching movies and xbox :)

is that one of those USB powered fish tank things. I love those. I got one for my math teacher/computer club sponsor last year, and i think it is one of the coolest peripherals for the pc.

yep, its a usb fishtank. my mom got it for me for christmas. i love it :) it was inside my case over break, but i took it out for transporting to school and never put it back in

my desk at school, it's kinda cramp especially with the waal right bu=y the desk, but its the only way to fit everything in. I'll probably put up some el-tape once I find a new job, usually I keep it pretty dark, with only the lava lamp, monitor, and tv for light.

i see a modded xbox on the screen, but where is the xbox? is it all the way to the right on your desk with the folder on it? or is that something else?
