POST screen freeze....

Over the last two weeks my computer has become slower and slower ONLY on the POST screen. Now it has completely stopped. It will not show the memory check, it freezes before that and I can't figure out wtf is wrong with it. I CANT EVEN GET TO THE DAMN BIOS SCREEN!
My specs are:
a8n-sli mobo
3500+
OCZ 2 GB Mem
6800 GT SLI
Hyper Type R 580W power supply
the whole setup is water cooled in two seperate loops.....

have you popped out the cmos battery?

checked the ram?

psu?

checked the mem, and just did the bios still nothing... what do u suggest to check the PSU ?

booting with a different one?

just power up the bare essentials, see if it posts.

btw, how did you 'check the ram'?

i replaced the ram witha working stick from my this computer (just a 512 peice).... i dont exactly have an extra PSU laying around... (besides the one on this working computer) and id rather not use it yet.... it still just freezes at the POST screen... it says "Athlon 3500+ blah blah" then the "Memory check: " is supposed to come up, but nothing happens

actually now that i cleared the CMOS it just appears with the big fat ASUS logo, so i cant see anything on the POST screen... and agian it freezes here, i cant get into bios or nething
