My MB is an evga X58 SLI3. At boot up it, the monitor displays no image, stays completely blank as though there was no signal.. and my MB's LED eventually displays POST code 39. I've looked up that code in my MB manual and it's described as "Test DMA page registers".

Besides dissembling my rig and putting it back together, I'm at a loss of how to go about repairing this one, as I have no idea how to test my DMA page registers. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Make sure your processor is seated properly and check for bent pins in the socket.

I'll do that, thanks Jorona. One last bit of info, I very recently moved and only encountered this issue after the move, despite my best efforts at being gentle with my computer. I'll try checking out the CPU asap.

So my CPU was fine. Seated properly, no bent pins etc. Any other ideas?

DMA sounds like a hard disk or CD/DVD-ROM error of some sort. Try disconnecting all drives & see if it at least boots to a BIOS screen. If that helps, one of your drives are not responding & holding up the boot process while the BIOS tries to identify the bad drive. Could also be a SATA/IDE connector knocked slightly out of place. Get back to us & let us know if that helps. =)
