I plan on upgrading to c2d and i was wondering if need to have a floppy drive...

If i do, which ones would you recommend for the cheapest? I can only find OEM ones and I was also wondering what exactly i need to have in terms of cables in order for it to work...

do i even need one in the first place?
 
You should always have a floppy drive handy for a number of applications (bios flashing, RAID setup, Ultimate boot cd, etc) and a floppy drive has its own power connector and a floppy cable called....floppy cable :D.


An external USB floppy should work...although i never tried it with any of the above applications..
