Kermit posted a FS thread for an X2 4800+ on Oct. 31st and we worked out a deal, $475 for the CPU. The next day I sent out the money order, and I asked if he would be able to ship out the CPU before the money order arrived since I have 43-0 Heatware and 11-0 eBay. He said that would be fine and he would ship it out the next day. A week later, on Nov. 9th, I hadn't heard back from him so I PM'ed him asking if he had shipped it out yet. He replied saying that he received the money order, but his wife threw away the envelope so he no longer had my address, so I PM'ed him back with my shipping address. On Nov. 15th I hadn't heard from him yet so I PM'ed him asking if had shipped it yet. No response. I PM'ed him again asking if he had shipped it out yet a week later and still no response. He's been on HardForum numerous times since I've sent these PM's and I've received neither a response nor the CPU so I'm getting worried as to whether I've been trolled.
 
Good luck man, These admins are good to there users and they will help you out if you have any problems.

Visit http://www.trollhunters.com/ for help if he doesnt get in contact with you. Make sure you can gather as much information on his as possible. Did you get his phone number? BTW what was his heat?
 
I don't have his phone number, but I have his address and I know his first and last names which couldn't have been made up because he would've had to show ID to cash the money order. He didn't have any heat, but he had a couple references from previous deals on [H] and he had clear pictures of the CPU.
 
Still haven't heard anything from him. I've already contacted him several times and PM'ed a mod so now I'm going to contact Troll Hunters and his local police department :(
 
Oh man that sucks, where s CDS? He is always here helping? Did he get scared of his shadow? :p
 
Dude that sucks you got Wenzeled. I am sure we can google and find more info on him. The admins can track down his IP address. Maybe he has a myspace account too. You need to start the threats to get the FBI, local police, USPS, Internet Fraud etc.

First, dig up all the info on him that you can, then send the threats.

I purchased a lidless x2 4800 with IHS included from him as well as 2 GB of memory and some software. Paid him via Paypal CC for all items. I received the CPU overnight (minus IHS).

I had very good communication with him. He called me at my cell and we talked before the CPU arrived. He told me there would be a small delay on the memory and I had good PM responses from him up until Nov 10th. After that, PM's, emails, and phone calls to him have not been returned regarding the expected ship date of the memory and software.

It was odd to have great communication with him and then all of a sudden nothing. I last sent him an email, phone message to his cell, and PM on Nov 25th.

The other 2 [H]'ers he gave as referrals bought memory from him and said they would trade with him again. HiJon89, I sent you a PM.

It appears that I'm not going to be receiving my CPU :( I guess at this point I just need to try to get my money back, I'll call Western Union and see if they can cancel the money orders.

Well NACZ3 just sent me a PM saying that Kermit indicated he had multiple X2 4800+'s he could sell so I guess it's still possible I will get my CPU in the end. After I get out of school today I'll call his house/cell/work 15-20 times and call his local PD :D

I have not seen Local PD ever resolve aything :( .
 
Did you get a WU money order? If you got a USPS money order, then you can claim mail fraud in which case they will track him down...
Go to trollhunters.com and between them and CDS, you could get a decent resolution...
Sorry for your troubles...I smelled something fishy when I ran across Kermit's FS post...
 
That is too bad about your trade. Look around at other fs/t forums and see if he posts there too. Put a thread with link to this one. Hit him in the pocket and mebbe he'll come around.
Make sure to have copies of all contact attempts and communications with the assumed troll. This information will be handy in tracking down, pressing charges, suing.
Perhaps the Mods will do a concise sticky on troll finding... like posting the aformentioned websites for ease of use...

I will never send someone western union. Once they ask for that, it tips me off that they are probably a troll. And if they arent and are a legit person, its not worth risking it for a deal I could probably find from a GOOD trader WITH heat if I wait a few more days. Sorry about that man, I could never spend that much on a forum. If I was going to spend that much i'd buy from an established retailer. I hope you get your money/ and or CPU back bro. I really feel for ya, I was burned for $125, I know its nowhere near what you lose but I feel yer pain. Good luck!

Wow.. Im popular! Its your local 'troll' (more like frog) Kermit. Not to worry.. Everyone who ordered anything from me has either got the items, or will be getting them very shortly. I work for a company that makes me travel at last minute notices. "Heres your plane ticket, see you later" I understand thats not a good excuse, however as some of the previous people who have bought stuff from me can tell you, I have very excellent communication. I have sent items overnight even though it was not asked to be sent (or paid for) overnight. PM's have been sent to all the noted parties. I would like this thread deleted or locked. Again, I stand by everything that I sell to be completely working, and if it isnt, I have no problem getting you a different one.
