Possible to upgrade Pentium III-m processor?

I've got a Toshiba 3505 tablet PC that uses a Pentium III-M 1.33ghz processor using the 478 socket. Is there anyway that I can upgrade the processor to a normal Pentium M in any feasible way possible? I absolutely love my notebook but it is losing it's speed fast. I'm willing to try some type of modification on the mobo if needed. Thanks!
 
No, unfortunately the two processors use two completely different front side bus architectures. Your Pentium III-M uses a 133 MHz bus while the Pentium M would interface with a quad-data-rate 400 MHz or 533 MHz bus.
 
that cant be a p3-m... fastest p3-m was 1.26ghz, and those are impossible to find...

thats gotta be a celeron...

actually, if its a 1.33ghz p3-m, its a BGA chip.

Xonic, just like the P-M chips, the p3-m's use '478' for pinned processors and 479 for BGA chips.

i had forgotten about the 1.33ghz BGA p3-m..

oh yes it is. i can stick a p4 in my p3-m notebook. doesnt mean it works, but it can go in.
