possible to find a "normal" wireless gaming mouse?

I've never owned an official gaming mouse and I've been using a Logitech M505 for years now.

All I want is a two button mouse with a scroll wheel that doesn't just spin freely (i like the detents feeling on the M505) that is designed to have polling rates in excess of the standard 125. Extra buttons on a mouse would be something that I would never use but if they're out of the way enough for me not to bump them by accident then fine. I want my mouse to feel comfortable and not look like someone's idea of a spaceship.

Does a mouse like this exist? I'm happy to dig around on ebay if something like this existed in the past but was discontinued.
 
yeah I am on an M505 too.... when the left click gave problem I had a hard time looking for a replacement. It is no longer in the market on this side of the world. There is nothing comparable to it. Did get meself a G100 for stopgap but its wired but not too bad. Thing it has to do with that rubber scroll wheel of Logitech that feels grippy.
As for gaming wireless... you must be prepared to work on keeping them batt charged if you want to game because of the higher requirement in polling rate. Otherwise just stick to M505 and buy a spare too if you can find em....
 
There aren't many options if you want good enough wireless for gaming.

I think the Logitech G700s is the closest to what you're looking for.

I use it and with a normal grip the extra buttons don't get in the way. It is also one of the most normal looking wireless gaming mice.
The scroll wheel has a toggle that lets you switch between normal scrolling and free scrolling and it has 1000hz polling.

Battery life is okay on it. You can always plug it in and use it while it is charging if you have to, or just swap out the AA battery. Mine lasts for 17 hours of continuous use in gaming mode. I turn it off and charge it while I sleep. If you do that you won't have any problem with the battery running out.
 
Another vote for the G700. I have one and it is superb. 2nd only to my beloved DeathAdder which is the best mouse on the planet IMO.
