My friend's computer is having isues running World of Warcraft. At random times, the computer seems to like to reset when playing. This is the only program that does this.
Specs of the machine:
Asus Motherboard (Asus CUSL2-C)
Pentium III 800MHz
GeForce 2 MX400 Video Card
Aureal (Generic?) Sound Card
IBM Deskstar 20GB HD
256MB RAM
The game falls under all these requiremens (barely!), and is able to run. However, as I said, the computer likes to do a memory dump at random times and BSOD on me. This computer is running Windows 2000 SP4, all updates. Also we noticed the last time this computer crashed, the hard drive made a single click. Could the HD be dying?
Also, I'm thinking that the fan on the video card is dead. or erhaps the fact that there is only one exhaust fan on this whole PC might be causing this computer to overheat??
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
