Is it possible to damage a motherboard in such a way where video cards won't work in them anymore?
I think I might have accomplished (dunno if thats the right word or not
) this...
I was dorkin around with my secondary rig testing different PSU and it wouldn't turn on... I noticed that I didn't have the 20pin connector seated properly. I pushed it in all the way and started it up this time the fans and disk came on, but there was a wierd smell
I reset a few times to no avail. I tried another PSU that has been tested in another rig and nothing... I hooked up the monitor to my main machine to make sure that wasn't the prob and everything is A-OK.
I took out the 9800pro agp thinking I might have accidentally killed it... I put in a PCI 9200SE and it still gives me a blank screen even...
Is my motherboard not capable of running vid cards? What do you think?
