Position of Firefox on Monitor's

Hi

I have just come across a VERY annoying problem with Firefox.

I have a dual monitor setup, and like to have Firefox open maximised on the second monitor. This has never been a problem before, I just had to do it in steps when I installed Windows.

i.e.
Open Firefox,
Move to second monitor
Close Firefox,
Open Firefox,
Maximise,
Close Firefox,

and then whenever I opened it in the future, it would always be on the second monitor.

This is not the case now. I have tried Firefox 1.5.something and Firefox 2.0. Regardless of where I move it, it returns to its original position which is unmaximised and on the wrong monitor. I believe this is a problem with Firefox as all other programs and windows remember their previous positions.

Could anyone shed any light on this?

Solved.

For anyone with the same problem in the future, here is the simple solution:

I found the solution. I had to create a new profile. It turned out that everything was reverting to its default layout. I only noticed when my "New Tab" button disappeared from the bar.
