Portal - Will there be more?

When everyone was talking about how cool Portal was, I really didnt seem interested.......UNTIL I loaded the game.

Just finished it (yes just now - only get to play during my lunch break so I played a little at a time, but only started on Monday). Anywhoo.......will there be a sequel to it? Any talks of an expansion pack/new levels/challenges?
 
Given the response to it, I'm certain there will be more Portal goodness in the future. I would expect map packs first, then possibly a sequel alongside Episode 3. Personally, I would love to see them give it the full retail treatment a-la Half Life 2.

I know they'll do something, because given the love-fest surrounding this wonderful game, they would be suicidally stupid not to.

I agree....but I want more now! lol.
 
While I really hope they do more with it, I'm not sure how big the game could get before it lost its awesomeness :p

Really though, its a great game and the amount of gameplay was just right. I think if they tried to add more into it it wouldn't live up to the hype.

Then again, HL2 is great as well so maybe they can pull it off.
 
You know, even HL2:EP2 made reference to Aperture Science. Anyone thinking that Valve released portal as an introduction to a storyline that runs tangential to the HL2 story line?

I'm wondering if in HL2:Ep3 or HL3, we'll see Gordon with a portal gun, or something of the sort. I think we'll find out more in EP3 when we board the Borealis, which has something to do with Aperature Science.
 
I dunno if we will see Gordon use it, as he would die from falling damage :D, I do hope any new content for it is thought provoking though and has some good puzzles.

You have no idea how many times I didn't try something in Portal because I thought id rupture my liver from jumping, thanks to playing HL, LOL Took a while to untrain myself of that.

Hehehe tell me about it :p, I started out by shooting portals @ where I was going to land and then another off a wall or whatever so I wouldn't take falling damage. :eek: It wasn't until I missed a portal and just went thud w/o the red screen of pain and death that I realized.. oh its ok :)
