I'm looking at three sets of portable headphones right now and wanted to get opinions on the following that are all within the same basic price range currently:

AKG Acoustics K26P

Koss Sportapro

Sennheiser PX 100

Anybody with experience with all of these, or even just two for the sake of comparison? I'm mainly looking for sound quality comparisons here.

The AKGs are interesting to me because they supposedly offer better noise isolation without giving up too much in the way of audio quality. The Koss set is more than $10 cheaper than the rest and the Sennheisers I've always found to be generally comfortable for extremely long periods of time...

Whoops sorry about that throught you were talking about IEMS....my bad

Those AKGs are downright terrible. The first shipments of that model were said to be excellent, but the current version I've heard sounds muddy - no clarity, detail or range. The Sportapros should be pretty good with rock music and the PX100 is solid all around.

My friend owns a pair of the Senns and enjoys them. He is no audiophile but he likes them for when he is walking to class, working, etc. Overall he tried to convince me to buy a pair, but I did not need them so I passed but he was very happy with them.

Woah, I read the "Those AKGs are downright terrible." bit and I was like, "WTF?" They rock!" and then I kept reading and it made more sense.

I got my k26Ps right when they launched and they were really good, seriously, full-sized headphone good, it's sad to hear that they might have let the quality slip, I lost my original set not too long ago and was planning on buying new ones :(.
