I'm setting up remote desktop for my home comptuer with windows xp pro.
I set this up half a year ago, and decided I to set it up again since I formatted.
I forwarded the 3389 port with TCP on my router and the port that I specified in my IIS setting. But for some reason I can't get it working. I used www.grc.com 's shields up to see if my ports are open and it says they are stealth, even though I forwared them.
So I also forwarded the UDP ports also, and didn't work.
Then I disabled windows firewall, and that didn't work also.
grc still says my 3389 and my other port are both still "Stealth".
Any idea what might be blocking my ports?
My router which the microsoft MN-700 has the lastest updated firmware.
