telnet pop3server.yourdomain.com 110
Bullitt said:DNS records for email look complete. It has a MX record and such. Its probably filtering on your ISP's part. To test it: You need the name of the incoming mail server (POP3).
Start->run-> cmd (dos prompt)
Code:telnet pop3server.yourdomain.com 110
Do you get a refused connection or connection timed out?
If its connection refused, call your hosting company for updated POP3 server.
If you get connection timed out, call your ISP and ask if they filter "Destination TCP port 110, used for POP3 email"
Narrow it down. Also, check your local firewall, antivirus software, etc FIRST. Norton had a problem when it updated it would fubar the email proxy settings. You may just have to re-input your pop3 server info into your email client, disable norton, reboot, re-enable norton. (if that applies)
Bullitt said:copy and paste my code into your command prompt. basically you need to telnet to a specific port (110 for pop) and see if its refusing the connection or what.
Also, what (if any) errors are given when people try to email you?
