popping noises?

We just had a bad storm roll through the area and lightning was striking all around my house. One lightning strike even managed to turn my computer on from sleep mode. I turned it off and unplugged the power cable for the rest of the storm. I am typing from it now but so far I have heard 2 LOUD popping noises, similar to the noise those poppers make you throw on the ground. I checked my temps and their normal. Any ideas of what could be going on? Thanks.
 
Could be caps on your mobo or psu or on any add on card that have failed ?

Unlikely though, but it could be a cap, but I suspect that if lightning had done anything to your pc, you would only hear one pop and that pop would be the sound of your entire pc blowing the fux up.

To make sure, open your pc up and look inside for the tall round things connected to your motherboard, there is lots of them, they look like small AA batteries, if the tops of them are open and not closed, then you know they are the cause of your popping, also they might look closed but still be popped if the tops of them are raised or if there is shit leaking from them.

Hope you had a good surge protector on there. I'd start with the PSU, btw.
