Pop/thump on start up/shutdown?

I just upgraded my soundcard to an Audigy 2 ZS and now when I turn the computer on or off I get a semi-loud pop/thump through the speakers, I didn't get this with my old SB Live! 5.1 card. Any ideas? I have the most current drivers installed already. Keep in mind I never turn my speakers off (the switch is on the back of the sub and is a bitch to get to).

i get the same thing with my audigy x-gamer. i guess it has somethin to do with electricity passing through and the speakers coming bak from stand by mode.
