My friend was looking for a cool case mod but didn't have really any money to spend...so after hitting up a local Safeway, and spending roughly $1.50, he was on his way.

A little cardboard, some Saran wrap, and some masking tape to give it a border.

The lights even show through the window...

Hey, I did that once after botching my first window mod (w a window kit). I was able to stretch it enough that you really couldn't tell it was saran wrap. :D

Yay for ghetto mods.

My favorite case ever was the one I made out of a fedex-box I recieved a motherboard in. I was so damn poor from blowing the money on the board I couldn't afford a case to put it in.

Ah, fond memories of playing counter-strike on my dually-PII fedexbox...

Just as a note, that server lived in that box for a little over 2 years, at which point one of my dumber/drunker friends stepped on it and tore the base apart. Bastard!

Funny. That has all kinds of ghetto goin' on.:D

Fo' shizzle my compizzle.

cardboard and masking tape humor just dont cut it anymore! :p

That's beautiful. One time I found a full tower case on the side of the road but it didn't have the outer shell to it. I cut up some watermellon cardboard(a big pallet-sized carton that holds watermellons) and used gaffer's tape to attach it to the case. That shit was at least 3/4" thick but it worked.
