So, I was going through eBay the other day. I found an T3500 for $75.00 shipped, a nice x58 platform, includes everything but HD. Ran geekbench on this Dell work station ,running w3550 Xeon quad/8 threads, 4gb ram DDR3, 525watt psu.

As if one can't win out the other, with an fx8120 has microprocessor supports Advanced Encryption Standard technology, Check it.

These CPU's on eBay are going for eBay for $20 http://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/262069671134

Now watch this guy:

These CPUs are dated, but These Xeon's still pack a punch, I'm going change out power supply for 800watt, add 970 gtx , and Sixcore w3690 or 5690, x58 will do sli, but licensed quatro cards only, But you could get away do crossfire, has only Sata 3.0, DDR3. Really can't beat if you're on a budget.

I'm confused, isn't the entire FX-series "poor man's" processors? They're not competitive with anything from Sandy Bridge onwards.
