Micron T3000 (in sig)
and Apple Powerbook Lombard (see sig)

Both over 5hours per battery

both your sigs arnt's showing up :p
How do you like using an Apple? Ever have any problems networking wise?

I get almost 3.5 hours on my 8600. If I turn down the screen brightness and turn on max battery under power savings I can get around 4 hours.

you need to change your viewing settings in your user profile to always see sigs

Networking wise
ever since switching to panther (10.3.X)
the apple has done better windows netowrking than my windows machines

I love the lombard
I mainly use it for interfaceing with Unix/Linux servers, troubleshooting for clients with mac systems and for productivity
Office for OSX is 10000+ times better than its windows counterpart
It just simply works like it should, (unlike its windows counterpart)

My single issue with it is that it has problems playing most newer higher rate Xvid/Avi (think anime) files
I am looking into finaly picking up the 500mhz G4 upgrade kit for it since it has finaly fallen below $250

I have a Toshiba Satellite 1805-S203 currently pulling in with a 10 minute battery life. Really.

Mine's a Gateway 7422GX. It gets about 2-3 hours with if its throttled down. If I am doing anything beyond IM and surfing it gets about 1-1.5 hours.

I've got an ACER Travelmate C110, which is a convertable laptop/tablet. I usually get around 2 to 2.5 hours of battery time, which kinda of sucks, but since the touch screen is constantly powered, it's understandable. I do have two batteries, so I still get good work times out of it.

3-3:59

Emachines M5310. thats the battery life i was getting when it was new, since then my battery has lost alot of charge and barely runs for 2 hours. ill probobly be ordering a new one soon.

9100 - around 1 hour with wireless active.

Latitude - over 1:15, more without the wireless card in (never tested its max battery time)

IBM T22
P3 900Mhz
256MB RAM
14.1" Screen

Under 1hr.

The laptop build is amazing, though. Best laptops in the world!

I get around 2.5-3 hours on my toshiba m35x-s109. dimming the screens brightness works wonders

I get around 7-8 hours doing simple text work with brightness etc turned way down. 5-6 with normal use. I can't imagine having a laptop that got less than two hours always having to worry about where to plug in and hauling the huge powerbricks around with you all the time.

Mine Asus M6BNE

probably around an hour...

wow I would have thought five minutes. running raid o on a lappy nice

Around six hours on my work laptop (provided by company, a Dell D600) with both batteries. Without both, 3-4 depending on what I'm doing.

1- 1.75 hours with wireless networking enabled. about two plus a few with it disabled and screen dimmed the most. i9100 is a machine, but unfortunately machines use fuel.

about 3 hours with 4 cell and 6 hours with 8 cell on my x40 which I'm packaging for shipment right now :(

Thats crazy that some of you get less than 2 hours on battery. I can't imagine that. A laptops point is portablity. But then again some of you guys have these 10LB monsters that are no where near portable. Thin, light, small power adapter. YAY ME!

A spanking new iBook 12", pulls in 5 to 6 hours when using low power settings.

Dell D800. Around 6 hours with two batteries. Around 4 with one battery.
1.6 Pentium M
1024mb RAM
40gig HD 5400rpm

Toshiba Satellite. Somewhere in the area of 1.5-2 hours as long as I'm not doing anything intense like moving the cursor, or typing. :p
2.0g Pentium 4 (loud and hot)
512mb RAM
40gig HD 4200rpm

Between 1 and 1½ hours. I have an Averatec 6130HS
Desktop P4 3.0Ghz
15.4" WXGA Screen
DVD +/- RW
60GB 7200 RPM (upgraded from the 4200 RPM)
512MB DDR
Radeon 9600 64MB

I know its kinda crazy about the lousy battery life. But the i9100 is more of a desktop replacement than a tue portable.

Inspiron 9100, Pentium4 3.2GHz15.4-in. WXGA
FREE UPGRADE! 512MB,400MHz 2DIMM (from 256MB,400MHz 1DIMM)
64MB ATI Mobility Radeon 9700
60GB Ultra ATA Hard Drive
Microsoft Windows XP Home Service Pack 2, English, for Inspiron
24X CD-RW/DVD Combo Drive withSonic RecordNow(DVD+RW/+R)
CyberLink PowerDVD v5.1, Decoding Sofware for DVD Drives, for Inspiron
Dell Wireless 1350 (802.11 b/g) Internal WirelessFor Inspiron 9100
96 WHr 12 Cell Primary Batterywith Subwoofer

Sub-Total $903.00
Shipping $49.00
Tax $78.55
Total Price $1,030.55

less $40 mail in rebate. Honestly, with the $800 off coupon, I really was trying to get the best bang for the buck. This laptop is faster than the desktop in my profile. I primarly use it for photoshopping and adobe premier rendering. Althought only a 60gb hdd kinda hurts.

Sounds like you got a good deal on that. I wouldn't min dhaving a powerful desktop that I could pick up and take with me.
