Probably old news but have you guys seen these things? They are a redone Laing D4 but they are sexy as hell. I want the chrome model...but is it really chrome plated or just high polished aluminum? I ask since Ive never owned anything from Polarflo before so I wanna know since a hard chrome finish would be a little more corrosion resistant than anodizing no I think....either way follow the links for each one

Chrome

Black

Blue

Red

They may look cool but you still have to put up with the noise. Those pumps are louder than any fan I've ever had in a system. I just returned a D4 pump from DD cuz it was so freakin' loud. No way could I put up with that racket.

If you are using 3/8" fittings, might I recommend a laing DCC.

You can also get it as 1/2in dude go look again dude...and they are a Laing pump

I sure hope the metal isn't part of the housing or if it is it's well protected.

were you mounting it down with the sound insulating foam? Mine is relatively quiet and I can't hear it over my systems fans :D

Also, I own the polarflo TT and I've been pleased with it. Its a good looking block as well.

The AquaXtreme AQX-50Z-DC12 is so quiet that I hear the water in my res over it. Performance is very close to the D4 also. Very happy with this pump compared to the D4.

You meant the d4 is close to the AQX-50Z right? Because the AQX-50Z outperforms the d4 and is probably one of the best all around pumps available at this time.

There are some great pump discussions over at procooling. everything you ever wanted to know. Highly recomended.
