OK, something dont seem right here. I set up a VM on my gaming rig real quick before I left home and I think Ive hit a snag...

Im running a E83 (2.8 or something like that ghz) with 4 gig ram on win7 with 3 GPU clients (260's)

I set it all up (I think I did it right, Ive don it a few times now, and it is running...)
but...

My PPD as reported 1200.. ?? I used to get 2000 on a stock Q66 per each VM (2 cores) and that was 2.4 Ghz with smaller cache, shouldnt this CPU get much better? like atleast 2100?

Also, I set te eory to 2048 since I ave 4 gigs and only running 1 VM, but y taskanager only sows 1.97 gigs, and noting in the task list is drawing 2 gigs like it should....

EDIT ok, sorry, aparently my m and h keys shit on me there for a sec

I'm pretty sure Ive got my WINAFC set up right, I'll post what I put in there. I would think that it would show a slow in the GPU client if I screwed it up but my points are up slightly, so I know its working...

*\vmware-vmx.exe := PAIR0 [assign=2,priority=Idle]

*\FahCore_11.exe := PAIR0 [priority=High]

*\FahCore_14.exe := PAIR0 [priority=High]

SO,
why is my PPD so low?
Where is that 2 gigs I told it to use?
any ideas to help me out?

EDIT 2: myCPU is pegged at 100% on both cores, so thats good...

Fahcore 2.10 killed SMP performance. 2.08 ran significantly higher PPD than 2.10.

did that change in the last 6 months or so? Before I was at Ft Lewis I made 2k of a stock Q66 per vm, now I should expect 1.2k from a much faster CPU??

So.. Should I just expect those numbers? Are they inline with the norm now?

And why isnt my rig eating up RAM? I remember I was going thru memory like it was going out of style on my Q66

If the CPU is getting used 100%, and you're folding on an a2 workunit, then there's nothing more you can do. Everything is set up correctly according to your first post.

The A2 core issues started a few weeks ago. There are threads out there talking about PG having to send out previously returned WUs again due to the original results being unusable. The performance problem is more pronounced with duals than quads. I'm waiting for the SMP2 client to be released. All of my boxes are running WCG right now. I'd suggest running multiple CPU clients instead if the A2 v2.10 core performance is unacceptable.

Yes .. just be aware the current A2 core will hang occasionally due to the ongoing issues. It's supposed to dump units properly but that wasn't the case for me.

hmm, and we just have to wait for the new client... damn. O well, 1200 beats 0
