For graduation I'm building a new computer. Im gonna do some light modding to the case too. Extra fan hole, window, custom front grill. I'm not quite sure what window design to use, so vote and tell me which one you think looks better. I'm getting a Praetorian case in black, if you're wondering.
Hopefully the parts will be here in a week or so and then I'll keep you posted. Thanks for the help :)

I don't know if this is the right place for this thread, but hopefully all goes well for you. The first window design would be really nice, and simple to fab up. Looks unique as I've never seen one like that B4. Keep us updated and happy modding!

it would be really cool if you made it like a real crosshair, have it fuzzy around the edges of the plexi and make a decal off of a scope for measuring distance or something. just my 2cents

So according to the overwhelming number of votes for number 1, heres my photoshop of what the window mod should look like.

Pretty sweet.
Someone said that this might not be the right forum for this thread, but since I'm going to be posting pics of the modding process and how my mod is going, thenI'm hoping this is the right place. If it isn't, I'll be glad to move it to another forum. Thanks for the input!

EDIT: Where the circle is knod of looks lieka good place for a fan. Anyone else agree? or should I leave it there like it is?

no fan. gaudy and dumb because you cant take off the side panel real easily if you want hidden wires.

Here's another question I thought of, does anyone know if that front grill on the bottom is easily removable? I'm hoping to take it out and put something else in there. Anyone witha praetorian that knows?

I created a Newegg wishlist of all the parts that are going in this thing. Please let me know if you see any incompatabilities or minor things that I forgot about. Should be ordering by Sunday. heres the wishlist: Wishlist

I've seen a few projects with this case and they've all removed the front grill, so it's definitely possible.

It seems like it'd be more effective to save money on the CPU and put it towards either a better motherboard or using 2x 512 RAM instead of 1x 1024. Also, you've got two keyboards on your wishlist.

Its going to be my main rig. I went cheap on some because I don't know how much money I'll be getting for graduation. What parts would you suggest I swap if I came along some extra money. (especially the MOBO). I went with 1x 1024 stick because mid summer I'll be getting a second 1Gig stick, and then I can run them DC.

i also think you should lower your cpu, put that money into more ram maybe another 1gig stick? not an ATI person but its a good card i guess. and either one of these motherboards would be my choice:

Asus
Abit

People keep talking about lowering the CPU, but I forgot to mention the second function of this rig is 3d animation/rendering. So the CPU speed is kind of important. plus the 3700 diego only saves me like, 40 bucks.

can anyone explain why the 3700 diego is better than the 3800?
