Pocket Access and file conversions

This is a project I'm working on, but here is a question I'm hoping someone could answer.

I'm using Activesync 3.7 with a GeoXT pocket pc. I am trying to move access .mdb files over to the pocket pc and activesync should convert them to .cdb pocket access files. Now, I keep getting rpc errors that the files cannot be converted.

My question to any of you is, do I need to have Pocket Access installed on a Windows CE device to convert .mdb files to .cdb files?

I don't need Pocket Access to view the .cdb files, I'll be editing them through a seperate application, so it just seems a waste to buy Pocket Access for a simple conversion.

bump, because one of you guys must move db files to a WinCE device.

I'd post this in OS, but it doesn't really have to do with an operation of the OS, just the app.
