Hello guys.
I have this card now, PNY GTX 285 and wanted to ask you if is worth to sell it and buy the GTX 570. My monitor has 1920 x 1200 res.
Please give me some advices. Is that really worth or i should better wait for a few months?
Is the GTX 570 much better than GTX 285 ? What about the power consumption / temps ?
Thanks in advance.

why not look at the tons of gtx570 reviews to see how it performs?

and what are your other specs?

Intel7 920 @ 2.67 GHz
Motherboard Gigabyte EX58-UD5
3 GB DDR3 Corsair 1333 MHz ( 3 x 1 )
2 x Western Digital 6400 AAKS
Creative SoundBlaster X-FI Xtreme Gamer
PNY GTX 285
Corsair TX 650 W
Cooler Master HAF 922
I just wanna know, please, if there is a "big" difference between GTX 285 and GTX 570 - temps / power consumption / noise level - idle - heavy load.
Thanks again.

a gtx570 is about 50% faster than a gtx285 at 1920x1200. a gtx570 will use about the same power as a gtx285 for most games. it would use much more power in something like furmark though. temps would also be very similar for the most part. the gtx570 should actually be a little quieter than a gtx285 under load according to reviews. it would probably be worth it if you could sell your gtx285 for a decent price and grab a gtx570 for around 300 bucks which with rebates should be no problem. I would wait until the gtx590 comes out on the 22nd just to see if it may get a small price drop though.

And what about 2500x1600 res for gaming ? Would that be a good idea ?
I intend to sell my monitor ( Samsung 2443BW ) and to get 30" one.
What do you think ?

Performance - the GTX570 is about 50% faster.
Heat/noise - the GTX570 should be slightly quieter, but will run at similar temperatures.
Power consumption - the GTX570 will use slightly more, nothing too enormous, between 10 and 40W.
If you're not particularly tied to one brand, I'd consider a 2GB HD6950, it's just as fast as the GTX570, and often quite a bit cheaper.
