PM Pop-up doesnt work

Hello. I have PM Pop-Up enabled in my User CP but it doesnt pop up when i get PMs. I am using FireFox and there is no message indicated a pop up was blocked. PM pop up works fine on other forums i visit so im not sure its a problem on my end. thanks for the help
 
Yes, it was disabled a long time ago because that feature requires a db query with every page load.
 
vB should edit the code so that if the admins disable the pop ups, then the option is taken out of people's User CP. Would remove a lot of confusion.
