i had hard modded my poworcolor x800 pro into xt. .. i connected pins and open my pc but something wrong .. my bios screen had artifacts and when windows starts my screen goes to black..after i uninstall ati driver , my screen comes back but atitool says that my active pipelines 0..i cant do anything , my cs1.6 get 4 fps..plzz help me ,i there is something wrong my bios or anything i dont know..i had backup my orjinal bios , but it doesnt works.have can i reset my bios and reinstall my original bios..can the hardmod damage my card..sorry for bad english..plzz help me my chip code is GBxxxx.1 , my e-mail is abdus25@hotmail.com , i hope someone help me , and rescue my card . .i dont want a mod anymore , i just want my card back..
 
it sounds like ure in the deep end my friend... i have had a ATi 9600XT 256mb all stock settings with artifacts on my bios screen... your card is nackered mate to be honest... (thats what i think) i hope to god for you that it isnt as i am going through something similar myself at this moment with my x800XT PE :)
 
my card isnt quite dead... i just got it today and strongly believe that the heatsink and fan are not secure, and i am having heat problems

this is really really bad for a x800xt pe idle i have been told and the heatsinc is noticabley loose,
anyway my ATi silencer 4 has just arrived, time to go fit it and test my card to see if i can get it working.... good luck CleanSlate
 
my card is far the opposite from dead now... as i suspected, fitted the AC ATi Silencer 4 nice and tightly with thermal compound all around... working fine no probs the 74 degree's idle is now 30degree's idle :p

Maybe you should keep this to the topic of your card that you also started -- I know it is hard to tell the two apart as they both look like kindergartners typed their titles -- but this thread is about a card that was killed by an attempted hardmod.

That's definately WAY hot for idle, My X800XT PE only idles at 41C and 54C load.
