setting: was watching divx starwars and my screen went blank. monitor light was blinking as if the computer was idle for a long tme. to make a long story short whenever i try to turn my computer on nothing happens. first i tried 3 other video cards (including a PCI one), no changes. i conencted it to a different powersupply and the computer actually posted and went thro bios screensm but not into windows. it just hung where it was perss whateer to enter raid setup. i restarted it and it turns out to be just like before. nothing comes on screen. ive tried turning it on with different sticks of ram, minimal devices plugged in, but still no progress.

3.00ghz p4 /800/512
gbyte ga-8knxp (875p)
tyan 9700pro (btw when i turn it on the hwmonitoring speaker beeps)
2x512mb mushkin lvl2 black pc3500
wd 1600jb 160gig
enermax 550w psu

update: if i wait about 5-10 mins the comp goes thro bios screens but hangs before windows starts. when i restart it nothing happens.

cleared cmos, nothing, cleared it again by replacing the battery, nothing. before that i had reseated teh cpu and put on fresh as5 ... *sigh i hope its only the mobo

in the process of trying to isolate the problem i swapped out hardware from other comps... no those comps dont even turn on no matter what hardware is in them.. this sucks so much
