ok, here is the first mod i have ever done(actually i oncedropped my case from my deck and it looked pretty modified after) but i want your opinions, and some ideas on how to tidy up the cables...here they are!( BTW: dunno how to make smaller, so i can't change that, sorry :S) i really wanna tidy up the cables, but am kinda lost on where to even start!

Looks great! Better than Mine right now. Im actually working on one thats going inside an old Guitar Amp. Just clean up the wireing inside, and it will be perfect. :D
 
yeah, dont know how to change picture size, sorry! any tips on cable tidyness? i have never really care at all,and even taht is cleaned up from waht it normally was!!! any sites showing a very easy way to tidy some cables up? BTW: pistola, that sounds AWSOME! it's just about the perfect size(for most amps) on the bottom of it, that should look nice!
 
Zip Ties... Stuff them behind motherboard tray, stuff like that

BTW Resize those pics!

Open picture
Choose Image, Stretch/Skew, reduction percentage untill it's smaller.

Second, this really isn't a big thing at all, but I figured since your lights were blue it'd be cool if your rounded cable was too :p


Also, what was the whole motherboard manual deal about? Heh.

If you're really going for looks, paint your optical and floppy drives to match the shiny black of your case ;)
 
Just take any slack you have in your cables, and tie the slack up so you have a nice tight connection. And tie your cables in such a way that they arn't in the way of any fans, you don't want a loose wire getting stuck in the fan, and it just makes it look better. If you get rid of that slack thats all you need.

2. i put all of my fan controlers wires and crap on the other part of my case. the right side that has nothing in it.

3 atx power goes under the mobo

4 any slack needs to be pulled tight.

so you can just right click on picture->type in new size->hit ok->bam, resized pic :D
 
yea we gotta start locking threads that people cant resize. It fucks the page and is just brutal to look at.

Learn to thumbnail or dont post them. Harsh I know, but this is a daily thing these days. Not just one person here and there.

EDIT: btw. No idea if it looks good. Couldnt be bothered waiting for your pics to load then scrolling back and forth

Thanks. I'd rather have to click than the way it was.

But the absolute best way is to have thumbnails. Some small images to click for bigger ones.

Little time consuming but much better...
 
just made a round cable outta zipties and ducttape... looks OK, but i know when i have mor money im gonna hit up the HW store and get some tubing to wrap all this in... :) just gotta roundize 2 more cables, :)
 
rounded cables are ugly. folding flat cables is the only way to go for the best looking mods.

Folding flat cables is OK, if that is your thing (I am from the rounded cable club myself, I think they look a lot cleaner), however, duct tape will get stickey and create a mess in your case over a long period of time, the same applies to electrical tape. I would just use some cable ties and be done with it at that point.


As for the rest of the mods, they look great!!! I would put LED fans behind all the custom grills that you got from bonz though. In the dark when the other fans are lit you can't see the custom grills, at least in the pics you posted. And just to echo what a lot of others have been saying in this thread.......clean up those wires and you will have an ass kickin case.
 
Soon as SATA Optical drives hit the market, modders are going to have a hell of alot easier time with cable management.. :D

its a lot harder to get a round small cable with a connector that sticks out hidden than to get a flat cable that lies against a flat connector hidden
 
before i left for this trip i am on i cleaned it up some... i got most of the wires hidden (minus radeoncard) and just have to deal with my hdd's/cd-rw/dvd-rom... im gonna look into 2X more led fans, and work on stating a window mod, it would be lighted by LED's...that would look pimpin if i could make it work...ill be back :D
