Anyone with experience with this drive?

Apparently Plextor doesn't make it anymore...I have a older Slot loader DVD drive, but I love this one cause its black and it will look gangster with the case I am planning on getting...

There are a few on amazon but most other sites I havent found it...

If the drive is poop please let me know before I throw $150 on it heh...looks are good but not that good if its garbage...
 
I've had two of them. The first one I got with my computer from Monarch Computer Systems, and it eventually died on me, ate a CD twice and made funny noises before that. When I RMAed it through them (shortly before they went bye-bye), the one I got back was different, it said Plextor and PX-716AL on the front, the other was completely blank, so I don't know what was different about the first one.

Since then, I've used this second one with no problems. :) Works fine in Vista 64-bit.
