plextor m5 pro

Japan only so far. Hope they come to EU fast, I need 2 asap.

Is this correct, $302.30 us dollars? That's not cheap, but, it's the best...

The link I posted (copied from Jaz709 with the missing URL portion restored) takes me to a page showing 299.99 Canadian dollars.

If I change to the US NCIX site and search for the 256GB M5P, it shows $298.50.

That is about what I would expect for a new product. I guess the price will come down some (probably around the M3P prices) after a month or two of availability.

they have them a little higher than newegg but they have the 256 and 512
http://us./products/index.php?minorcatid=1275&subminorcatid=1314

They don't have them in stock either and their prices are high! I'm seeing places offering drop shipping within 2 weeks, at a much more reasonable price than NCIX. 128GB @ $124.99 - 256GB @ $230.99 - 512GB @ $452.99

Anyway, I know I've posted this on other forums, but Plextor claims Newegg already has the 256GB flavor and hasn't listed them yet. This email is from 2 days ago.

icecpu, try running Prime 95 on a thread while benching

New M5P in my Samsung Laptop. I wish I still had my SFF system for testing.

It disables all your CPU power saving features, thus showing the true potential of your SSD. Alternatively, you could disable EIST & C States in the bios and change the minimum processor state to 100% under Windows power options.
