Hi, i am suppose to use the RAID driver floppy included with the sn95g5? I am using a SATA samsung hard drive...but i seemed to have completed the windows xp sp1 installation without ever having to use it...but i am suppose to in order to make things right? (i only have and use one single hard drive)

Your machine has some SATA ports which work like regular IDE ports. Apparently, your drive is connected to those regular ports.

You also have some SATA ports which are connected to the RAID controller, and using drives on those will require the appropriate driver to be installed.
