So I'm trying to print out my report and the printer does nothing, donw on the taskbar it shows the printer thing. So I thought no big deal, just uninstall and reinstall the printer drive. I do that (w/ Winxp autoload thing) and try it again, and it still doesnt work. The computer has to see the printer because after about 1 min an error comes up saying printer is out of paper. I go into the control pannel and the printer settings and it says "HP deskject 610cl ready". But its not printing. I have to print this report thats due tommorow, but i cant save to disk and take to school and print because all they have are iMAC's. Please help. By the way, i have WinXP SP1 and HP deskjet 610CL. Thanks

First thing is to do some basic troubleshooting. Try to print the test page. Second, are you using drivers from HP.com or the windows built in drivers?

Did you load the drivers by following the instructions from the web site? I happen to work for HP and we have quite a few of these printers. I've never had a single problem installing them.

Yes, that where I was just at. Since you work for HP, why does my comptuer see and know what kind of printer it is?
